This picture was taken in front of East Campus Dining Hall. The Dining Hall is located next to the Festival Alumni Center and behind the Skyline dorms. JMU students most often use this space for eating lunch and dinner every day. East Campus Dining Hall (E-Hall) offers a wide variety of food options and there is sure to be something there every night to please most, if not all, students. Many believe the dining hall is the best part of the entire East side of campus. E-Hall already does a great job of taking suggestions from students and processing requests. One of the few improvements I think many students would like to see is bigger portion sizes and sometimes a less adventurous menu. Compared to D-Hall on the other side of campus, E-Hall carries alot more international and innovative menu items. Because E-Hall was built relatively recently, managers are very environmentally conscious. The facility uses reusable dishes and silverware, as well as processes large amounts of compost. One improvement that could be made in E-Hall is decreasing the amount of lights left on throughout the night. I am curious as to why operators of the facility find this necessary. E-Hall serves as a meeting place and a restaurant to students and it is definitely a big part of the JMU experience.
